Full Description
Cropmark of a ring ditch mapped from HEA 35255/013 16-JUN-2022 aerial photographs and mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet Landscape mapping project in 2024. The site appears as a penannular oval ring ditch 28m in diameter with the NE third truncated by the current field boundary (1). An adjacent record for a rectilinear enclosure seen as a cropmark (MKE91190) may be the same site as this ring ditch. (1)
Cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow seen at at TR 2912 6798 at the edge of a field north of Little Farm, St Nicholas At Wade. It measures c. 30m in diameter. The NE section of the ring ditch is truncated by the field boundary. This possible barrow is visible on aerial photographs taken in 2015 as part of the Historic England Reconnaissance Recording programme.(2)
