Full Description
Two pits of uncertain date were visible as cropmarks in EARTH.GOOGLE.COM 03-2022 (accessed 05-02-2024). These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1)
Cropmarks of two adjacent pits of uncertain date visible on aerial photographs held by Kent County Council in 1990 (viewed on Google Earth) which were mapped as part of the Historic England Ramsgate HAZ project. The larger pit is located at TR 3515 6557 and measures 14m x 13m. The smaller adjacent pit is located at TR 3517 6557 and measures 5m x 7m. (2)
