Monument record TR 36 SE 877 - Cropmark of an arc of causewayed ditches possibly part of a Neolithic causewayed enclosure visible on aerial photographs.

Cropmarks of an arc of interrupted ditches centred at TR 3534 6479 and visible on aerial photographs taken in 2016 and 2017. This arrangement of apparently interrupted ditches could be the remains of a Neolithic causewayed enclosure. The arc of ditches is irregular in plan and describes the western side of an incomplete sub-circular enclosure at least 130m across. The cropmark of a large pit 8m in diameter can be seen just inside the southern extent of the alignment at TR 3535 6474 and a larger pit c.13m across can be seen to the south at TR 3535 6470. The underlying geology can also be seen as a cropmark as parallel, slightly diverging lines. This site warrants further investigation.(1-3)
