Full Description
Features relating to a Roman road between Wickhambreaux and Ash were identified during a 2001 Kent Archaeological Field School. The road is thought to have linked up with the Roman road between Canterbury and Richborough (TR 25 NW 450). The field school identified the route or a bracnh road connecting with the Canterbury to Richborough road out of Wickhambreaux to the north east. This road was identified by tracing signs of agger and existing footpaths and roads towards Ash. (1)
