Full Description
A medieval farm comprising a building with associated gullies and ditches were identified at Molehill Solar Farm during excavations in 2014. An evaluation and a strip, map, and sample excavation carried out in 2014 identified evidence for medieval resettlement of the site following around 800 years of abandonment.
The building was a small farmhouse or cottage, which appears to have been inhabited during the 13th, 14th, and 15th centuries, before being demolished around 1500 AD. (1)
