Monument record TQ 97 SW 1242 - Medieval field system, medieval and post-medieval agricultural features, land off Plover Road, Minster on Sea

A medieval field system alongside medieval and post-medieval field boundaries were identified during an evaluation carried out on land off Plover Road, Minster on Sea. The features were located to the north and north-east of the site. A small quantity of medieval and post-medieval tile was recovered from the site, alongside fragments of late post-medieval clay pipe stems.

A number of features remained unexcavated and were not assigned to a specific period. These included one or two possible trackways, drainage ditches, post-holes, pits, and ditches. Furthermore, 6 pieces of later prehistoric worked flint were also recovered, however, these artefacts may be residual in character. (1)
