Full Description
Two ditches were excavated during an evaluation carried out at Halfway Egg Farm, Sittingbourne in 2022. One of these features was aligned and probably associated with the historic Sheppey Way. This feature contained pottery dating to between 1150-1275 AD and post-dating 1780 AD within its fill. It is unclear whether this ditch was originally cut in the medieval period, or whether both the ditches are late post-medieval in character, with the pottery representing residual material within their fills.
