Summary

Prehistoric features were identified during an evaluation carried out on land to the west of Wises Lane, Sittingbourne, in 2023. These features included a tree throw hole containing Mesolithic worked flint, and several probable prehistoric pits.

Full Description

Prehistoric features were identified during an evaluation carried out on land to the west of Wises Lane, Sittingbourne, in 2023. These features included a tree throw hole containing Mesolithic worked flint including an axe or pick, and several probable prehistoric pits.

Prehistoric worked flint and 6 pot boilers were also recovered from across the site. (1, 2)
