Summary

A medieval ditch was identified during an excavation carried out at southwest Sittingbourne in 2018. The ditch measured 1.56m in width and 0.25m in depth and contained 7 sherds (18g) of medieval pottery dated to the 12-13th century were recovered.

Full Description

A medieval ditch was identified during an excavation carried out at southwest Sittingbourne in 2018. The ditch measured 1.56m in width and 0.25m in depth and contained 7 body sherds (18g) of medieval white-slipped Tyler Hill ware pottery dated to the 12-13th century were recovered. (1)
