Summary
A palaeochannel containing Middle Bronze Age pottery was identified during an evaluation carried out at southwest Sittingbourne in 2018. Environmental sampling of the feature revealed evidence for wheat and barley grain and wood charcoal.

Full Description
A palaeochannel containing Middle Bronze Age pottery was identified during an evaluation carried out at southwest Sittingbourne in 2018. The feature measured 8.20m wide and 1.00m deep. Manganese flecks recovered from the fills of the feature indicated a waterbourne character. Environmental sampling of the feature revealed evidence for wheat and barley grain and wood charcoal. (1)
