A ditch was identified during an evaluation carried out at Ufton Court Farm, Starveacre Lane in 2025. Full Description

A possible prehistoric or Roman ditch was identified during an evaluation carried out at Ufton Court Farm, Starveacre Lane in 2025. The ditch was observed in two trenches to the west of the site and measured 9.75+m long, by 2.55-3.95m wide and 0.52m deep. This feature was provisionally assigned a prehistoric or Roman date as it was determined to be aligned with cropmarks broadly dated to these periods due to their associations with metal detector finds.

Several undated features were also identified during the evaluation including several post-holes and a tree throw. (1)
