Medieval and post-medieval agricultural features were identified during an evaluation carried out at Pond Farm, Grovehurst Road in 2022. Features included a possible post-medieval trackway and a boundary ditch originally established in the Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age and recut during the medieval and post-medieval periods.

Full Description

Medieval and post-medieval agricultural features were identified during an evaluation carried out at Pond Farm, Grovehurst Road in 2022. Features included a possible post-medieval trackway and a boundary ditch originally established in the Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age and recut during the medieval and post-medieval periods. Pottery sherds, worked and burnt flint, charcoal, animal remains, and ferrous artefacts were recovered during the excavations. However, only the dates of pottery is recorded in the report. (1)
