Full Description
Mesolithic, Neolithic, and Bronze Age worked flint was identified during an evaluation at Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne carried out in 2021. These included a backed blade dating from the end of the last Glaciation or the early Mesolithic period, and a possible Mesolithic bladelet core (although the dating on this artefact is uncertain). Other worked flint artefacts including two scrapers and a number of flint flakes/blades and chips, some of which were dated to the Neolithic to Bronze Age. (1, 2)
