Full Description
During excavations on land off Nash Road near Margate a small group of features representing activity dating to the Late Bronze age or Early Iron Age were identified.
After the early Bronze Age activity, there appears to have been a hiatus in activity on the site until towards the end of the Bronze Age. This new phase of activity is characterised by field systems and enclosures, largely on a different orientation to those both earlier and later in the site sequence, a structure with a possibly associated burial, along with further pits and postholes. This suggests a small, possibly short- lived rural settlement.
