Summary

An evaluation was carried out at Courtsole Farm, Cliffe in 2013. Features identified an undated L-shaped ditch associated with Middle to Late Bronze Age pottery and undated animal bone, alongside a pit, a hearth/fire pit, a possible chalk quarry, and a gully all tentatively dated to some time between the Roman and post-medieval periods.

Full Description

An evaluation was carried out at Courtsole Farm, Cliffe in 2013. Features identified an undated L-shaped ditch associated with some Middle to Late Bronze Age pottery and undated animal bone, and a pit, a hearth/fire pit, a possible chalk quarry, and a gully all tentatively dated to some time between the Roman and post-medieval periods.
