Summary
A possible Iron Age or Roman ditch was identified during a watching brief carried out at 95 St Richard's Road, Deal in 2018. The ditch was V-shaped and measured 1.52m across the top, 0.67m deep, and 0.20m in depth.

Full Description
A ditch was identified during a watching brief carried out at 95 St Richard's Road, Deal in 2018. The ditch was V-shaped and measured 1.52m across the top, 0.67m deep, and 0.20m in depth. No artefacts were recovered from the ditch but its compacted fill led to the interpretation it was "of some antiquity" (1) and based on archaeology in the surrounding area was suggested (1) to potentially be Iron Age or Roman in origin.
