The earthworks of a possible post medieval drain and flanking bank can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This drain is situated north west of Marshgate. The drain is disused and is not marked on the 1872 Ordnance Survey map and represents an earlier subdivision of the marshes. This site was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

The earthworks of a possible post medieval drain and flanking bank can be seen on aerial photographs taken in 1947. This drain is situated north west of Marshgate at TQ 7569 7640. The drain is disused and is not marked on the 1872 Ordnance Survey map and represents an earlier subdivision of the marshes.
