Summary

The earthwork remains of part of a probable post medieval causeway bank seen on the northern edge the tidal marshes of Stoke Saltings. Aligned north-south, this linear bank could be traced for c.140m. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

The earthwork remains of part of a probable post medieval causeway bank seen at TQ 8312 7500 on the northern edge the tidal marshes of Stoke Saltings. Aligned north-south, this linear bank could be traced for c.140m. This was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.(1)
