Summary
Two clusters of oblong pits of uncertain date were seen as cropmarks in a field to the west of Cliffe village. They were mapped from aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in June 2011 as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The pits measured between 1m and 3m across.

Two clusters of oblong pits of uncertain date were seen centred as a group at TQ 7333 7666 as cropmarks in a field to the west of Cliffe village. They were mapped from aerial photographs taken by English Heritage in June 2011 as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The pits measured between 1m and 3m across.(1)
