Summary

A small area of Post Medieval or early twentieth century quarrying, comprising shallow irregular extractive pits and spoil heaps probably associated with gravel extraction, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. The workings recorded here damaged the northern part of a Medieval or Post Medieval moated site (monument 416813) which was later completely destroyed by quarrying.

A small area of Post Medieval or early twentieth century quarrying, comprising shallow irregular extractive pits and spoil heaps probably associated with gravel extraction, visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and mapped as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
