Full Description
A series of undated banks and ditches were identified at Charing Beech Hangers during a survey of the woodland carried out in 2004. Some of the features may relate to the early boundaries of the woodland, which show that Stubyer's Wood was originally much more extensive and may have developed as an extension of Long Beech Wood extending into Challock. Other features have been linked with the boundaries of the Pilgrim's Way. (1)
