Full Description
A post-medieval sand pit adjacent to Heath Wood, Maidstone was identified from historic mapping during a desk-based assessment carried out in 2016 in advance of proposed development. The feature is visible on Heritage Tithe Maps, and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th edition OS maps (only labelled on the 2nd edition OS map). (1)
