Full Description
A number of undated features were identified during an evaluation followed by a strip, map, and sample excavation carried out at Lower Rainham Road, Gillingham in 2012-2013. These features included a possible grave cut, although no skeletal or artefactual remains were associated with it. Artefacts were identified in a layer of hillwash dating to the prehistoric period (worked flint), and the Roman period (fragments of brick and pottery), however, no dateable artefactual material was associated with any of the features at the site.
