Full Description
Site of Stonebridge Football Stadium, Stonebridge Road, Northfleet. Three of the stands (Stonebridge Road Stand, Plough End Stand, and Main Stand) underwent historic building recording in 2015 in advance of the proposed construction of new stands at the site.
Analysis of the Main Stand recorded the building as a rectangular structure measuring 58.2m in length and 9.2m in width, dating from c.1907-1935. The Plough End Stand measured 68.2m in length and 9.6m in width and was dated to c. 1935-1960, and the Stonebridge Stand measured 56.2m in length and 8.4m in width and was dated to c. 1960-2015. (1)
