Summary
A field system dated to the post-medieval period was identified during an evaluation carried out at The Street, Smarden in 2019. Residual medieval ceramic building material and pottery was recovered from the fills of many of the features at the site, suggesting that the field system may have had some medieval antecedence.

Full Description
A field system dated to the post-medieval period was identified during an evaluation carried out at The Street, Smarden in 2019.
