Summary

A medieval pit, a possible medieval pit or natural feature, and post-medieval gravel metalled surface were identified during an evaluation carried out at Wolfson House, Wye in 2018. The medieval pit contained late 12th to early 13th century pottery, whilst the possible pit or tree throw contained pottery dating from the late 15th to early 16th century pottery, animal remains, and slag.

Full Description

A medieval pit, a possible medieval pit or natural feature, and post-medieval gravel metalled surface were identified during an evaluation carried out at Wolfson House, Wye in 2018. The medieval pit contained late 12th to early 13th century pottery, whilst the possible pit or tree throw contained pottery dating from the late 15th to early 16th century pottery, animal remains, and slag.
