Summary

A possible medieval and post-medieval wall was identified during a watching brief carried out at Mill Yard, West Malling in 2016. The feature comprised a boundary wall built of brick in Flemish bond dating to the late 17th century. This wall was sitting above another wall built of Kentish ragstone which may have dated to the medieval period, or which may potentially represent the rebuilding of an earlier wall and the reuse of medieval stone.
