Summary

Earthwork remains of a probable medieval or post medieval field system of ditch defined fields in low-lying land to the south-east of Rookelands Farm seen on aerial photographs. Traces of cultivation ridgescan be seen within some of the fields. The fields lie to the north of a medieval moated site and associated fields.

Full Description

Earthwork remains of a probable medieval or post medieval field system of ditch defined fields in low-lying land to the south-east of Rookelands Farm at TR 0633 3029 seen on aerial photographs. Traces of cultivation ridges can be seen within some of the fields and two of the ditches between fields have been expanded to form elongated ponds at some point. The fields lie to the north of a medieval moated site and associated fields.(1)
