2. Large square C18 house. 3 storeys. 5 windows facing in each direction. Red brick. Painted string-courses above ground and first floors. Parapet. Hipped slate roof of high pitch. Sash windows with glazing bars intact, except in centre of first floor and on ground floor of the west or entrance front, where modern bays have been built out. Also modern porch between these bays.

In June 2019 a thermographic survey was carried out to locate possible timber-frame and other concealed elements. A possible dragon beam was identified, as well as the location of some 18th century stud work and the location of three blocked dormer windows. (2)

A dendrochronological survey was carried out at Great Fish Hall in 2019 which "sampled ceiling and framing timbers in the first-floor master bedroom, a floor beam in the first-floor southwest
corner room and a common rafter in the roof... Analysis of the samples revealed that they comprised a single group of timbers likely all felled at the same time. Two of the timbers were from trees felled in winter 1587/88, suggesting that the house was built in 1588, or within a year or two after this date" (from report, 3).
