Full Description
Immediately on the right of the entrance to St Georges Gardens from West Street is a Deal Society metal plate to Captain Edward Parker , who died of his wounds in Deal following an abortive attack on Boulogne in 1801; while serving with Nelson. Nelson attended the funeral & contributed towards the cost. Next to the plaque is Captain Parker’s tomb.
