The report details the initial archaeological survey and proposed project design for a V-1 flying-bomb impact site in Lord’s Wood, Orlestone, Kent. Conducted in April 2021, the investigation used archival research, aerial photography, Lidar, and a magnetometer survey to confirm the site, revealing a shallow crater and scattered V-1 fragments. Six artefacts were recovered from the topsoil, with 17 additional metallic signals recorded. The site’s undisturbed woodland setting offers excellent potential for further controlled excavation and analysis.
