Findspot record TR 36 NE 2660 - Mesolithic and Neolithic Flintwork
Summary
During largescale excavations off Manston Road, Ramsgate, a background scatter of late Mesolithic and early Neolithic worked flint, including cores, flakes, blades and bladelets, was discovered. These were present as largely residual finds in later contexts, indicating hunter-gatherer activity within the site or in the nearby area. Although residual, the assemblage suggests tool making was likely to have carried out at the site or close by.
