Title Archaeological Excavation: Land at Haine Lodge, Spratling Lane, Ramsgate, Kent
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2025

Abstract/Summary

Between July and September 2022, Canterbury Archaeological Trust undertook an archaeological strip, map and sample excavation on Land at Haine Lodge, Spratling Lane, Ramsgate, Kent CT12 5LL. The investigation mostly revealed features of Romano-British date, as well as one Anglo-Saxon feature; nearly all of these features were shallow indicating severe (probably post-Roman) truncation across the site. This report provides a post-excavation assessment of archaeological data and artefactual material recovered during the strip, map and sample excavation.
